At DuPiT we take live fish shipping seriously. Every order is packed with care to ensure your fish arrive healthy and ready to be introduced to their new home.
Dispatch Schedule
- All orders ship on Mondays only
- Place your order by Sunday midnight (AEST) to ship the following Monday
- Orders placed after Sunday midnight will ship the next Monday
- We do not ship on public holidays — your order will ship the following Monday
Packaging
- Fish are double-bagged in high-quality polythene bags
- Each bag is filled with pure oxygen for safe transit
- Bags are packed securely in an insulated polystyrene box
- Orders are kept as cool as possible during transit
Shipping Locations
- We ship to most Australian metro and regional areas
- Live fish are not shipped internationally
- Some remote or extreme-temperature areas may be unavailable — contact us before ordering
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location
On Arrival
- Open your box as soon as it arrives
- Float the sealed bag in your aquarium for 15–20 minutes to equalise temperature
- Slowly add small amounts of your tank water to the bag over 10 minutes
- Gently release the fish into the tank — do not pour the bag water into your tank
Dead-On-Arrival (DOA) Policy
- In the rare event of a DOA, contact us within 2 hours of delivery
- Provide a clear photo of the unopened bag with the fish clearly visible
- We will assess and offer a replacement or store credit on a case-by-case basis
- DOA claims cannot be accepted after 2 hours, or without photographic evidence
